The two-stage Automatic Needle Positioner stops the machine's needle in the "up" or "down" position. 
It minimizes bending or breaking needles and releases thread for free movement of the machine. 

The positioner helps maintain constant speed and torque of the machine,
as well as speeding up the outlining process.
